Moritz Ebert started playing the cello at the age of seven with the Bulgarian cellist Teodora Miteva. Two years later he continued his studies under Professor Grazyna Milan at the „Music School 3“ in Vienna. After graduating from performing arts in Graz Moritz Ebert has been traveling Europe working together with cellists such as Sol Gabetta, Conradin Brotbek, Patrick Demenga, Rudolf Leopold, Diethard Auner and Gustav Rivinius. Moritz Ebert won the 2nd prize at the national competetion „Prima la musica“ and is now living in Berlin, working together with resonance teacher Thomas Lange. In 2016 Moritz started playing together with singer/songwriter RYDIN. December 2016 they recorded their first album together.

Oslo POP UP festival is proud to present Moritz Ebert at the festival both performing a solo concert and in his collaborative project with RYDIN. In his solo concert Saturday and Sunday daytime Moritz Ebert is playing Suite No. 6 by Johann Sebastian Bach (Prelude and Allemande) and Suite for Cello Solo by Gaspar Cassado (Preludio and Intermezzo e Danza Finale).
